Papaya and mango
You can bring in the tropics in your home by blending papaya and mango. Already these two fruits are of a rich, bright and creamy texture. It is best to chop them in chunks beforehand and place them in the freezer in order to gain that extra cool and icy taste. Pour a splash of low fat milk along with a dollop of Greek yogurt. Add the papaya and mango and blend. Serve over cracked ice.
Strawberries and banana
These two combinations are also great together. And, they will provide the necessary natural sugar to the smoothie. Once again, chop fruits in advance and place them in the freezer. Pour almond milk which also consists of a little sugar in blender. To gain a little spice, sprinkle a dash of cinnamon and add strawberries and banana. Blend all the ingredients together and pour over cracked ice. Garnish with strawberry with the green stem on top of glass. Over-riped speckled bananas are excellent for this smoothie.
Blackberry and blueberry
You can derive a punch of extra fibers with this smoothie. Use frozen black and blueberries for this. Place low fat milk in a blender. Add a teaspoon of flax-seed, a little honey for sweetness and a sprinkle of cinnamon along with berries. Blend on high all the ingredients and serve.
Pineapple, mango and orange juice
Grab a serving of orange juice from your refrigerator. Or if you prefer, use fresh orange juice. Add cuts of pineapple and mango to liquid and blend until smooth. Serve over cracked ice with a garnish of mint and pineapple.
